What does your worship service look like?

Our worship can best be described as simple, joyful, reverent, Scriptural, historic, and gospel-focused.  It is our conviction that the Lord has shown us how he is to be worshipped through his Word, which guides everything in our service.  In other words, in worship we sing the Bible (through hymns, psalms, and modern songs), we hear the Bible (through reading passages of Scripture and the sermon), and we see the Bible (through the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper).  The point of steeping ourselves in the Bible is that we are pointed to Jesus Christ, who is the centerpiece of the Scriptures.

What about my children?

Your children are always welcome to stay and worship with you in the service.  We do provide a nursery up through age 3 and Wee Worship for ages 4-5.  Children are dismissed for Wee Worship just before the sermon. Additionally, an audio feed of the service is available in the nursery for nursing mothers.

What should I wear?

While we probably lean a bit towards the traditional side (meaning you'll see plenty of folks wearing suits/jackets or dresses/skirts), please come in whatever you feel most comfortable wearing.  We believe that our hearts are what we primarily offer to the Lord in worship, not our outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7).

What are your sermons like?

Sermons last about thirty minutes and are generally expositional, which means that our pastors aim to explain the point of a particular Bible passage.  In the sermon we want to understand the Scriptures, consider the implications for our lives, and be pointed to the transforming grace of Jesus Christ.

Will I be expected to give money during the service?

Absolutely not!  While our members do give during the service as an act of worship, we do not ask (or expect) our guests to contribute financially.  We are simply glad you are visiting with us and are considering the claims of Jesus.

Where are you located?

We are located at 10885 O'Neal Road in Gulfport, just two miles north of I-10 at Highway 605 (Cowan-Lorraine). For directions, click here.
